What is a tip over switch?

2024-08-14

Tip over switch, also known as anti tipping switch, is a safety device primarily used to cut off power or circuits in the event of tilting or falling of electrical appliances or equipment, in order to protect the safety of the equipment and users. The following is a detailed introduction about the tip over switch:

Principle

The working principle of the tip over switch is based on a built-in sphere and pressure plate structure. When the equipment falls, the sphere tilts and moves along with the shell under the action of gravity, causing the pressing plate to return to its original position, thereby instantly disconnecting the switch.

Function

The main function of a tip over switch is to provide tilt protection for electrical appliances. For example, when the electric heating fan tilts too much or falls, the anti tipping switch will give a signal to disconnect the circuit and the electric heating fan will stop working. Once set the fan upright, it can continue to work.

Application

tip over switches are widely used in electrical appliances and equipment that require tipping or need to prevent tipping and provide power-off protection. For example, various electronic devices such as electric heaters, oil dispensers, electric fans, air purifiers, vertical air conditioners, therapy equipment, sports equipment, charging stations, etc. are used to achieve automatic control and protection of the equipment. These devices can automatically cut off power when tipping is detected by installing tip over switches, thereby avoiding accidents.
